§ Mr. William Hamiltonasked the Secretary of State for Scotland what steps he has taken to prevent those practices of collusive tendering for public building contracts which were condemned by the Restrictive Practices Court last July; and what evidence is available to him that 420W such practices have been engaged in over the last 10 years.
§ Mr. Gordon CampbellI have no evidence of such practices in tendering for public building and civil engineering contracts in Scotland. I have recommended to regional hospital boards an improvement in their existing safeguards against such practices and I intend to consult the other public bodies for which I have responsibility about the desirability of similar action in their fields.
