Mr. David Clark

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services how many applications under the National Insurance (Old Persons) Act, 1970, by men over 87 years of age and women over 82 years of age, have been approved by those of his offices concerning persons resident in the Colne Valley constituency.

Separate figures are not available for the Colne Valley constituency but the number of wards made under Section 1 of the Act up to and including 13th November, 1970, by those social security offices which deal with parts of that constituency are as follows:
