§ Mr. Arthur Lewis

Member for West Ham, North, enclosing a letter from the Borough Librarian of the London Borough of Newham concerning proposed library charges; and if he will see that such formal communications are despatched more speedily in the future.
§ Mr. Barber
Because the hon. Member's letter did not arrive at the Treasury290W until three days after the date on the letter.
Any inconvenience which may have been caused by the delay in sending a formal acknowledgement until after the intervening weekend is nevertheless regretted.
