§ Mr. Leadbitterasked the Secretary of State for the Environment what estimate he has made on future council house building programmes and the numbers of houses to be built in 1971, 1972 and 1973 arising from the policy of Her Majesty's Government to recast subsidies for these programmes.
§ Mr. AmeryAs a result of the reform of housing finance, authorities with severe housing problems will be better placed to build more houses. When the new arrangements have been worked out with the local authority associations, each authority can decide how best to shape its building programme so as to take advantage of the new system.
