§ Sir H. d'Avigdor-Goldsmidasked the Secretary of State for the Social Services whether, in view of national concern over vehicle servicing and repairs, he will impose stricter control over his Department's authorised repairers of disabled persons' vehicles and take steps to withdraw authority from individual garages or to impose sanctions against them, when as a result of bad work or incomplete repairs, disabled persons are obliged to suffer additional hardship and discomfort.
§ Mr. AlisonApproved repairers of invalid vehicles are already under the surveillance of the Department's technical staff and sanctions are imposed as appropriate.
§ Mr. Biggs-Davisonasked the Secretary of State for Social Services what consideration has now been given to improvements in the vehicle service for the disabled.
