§ 52. Mr. Biggs-Davisonasked the Secretary of State for Social Services what precautions were taken to prevent the spread of cholera to this country.
§ Mr. AlisonSince 18th September International Certificates of Vaccination against cholera have been required from all travellers entering the United Kingdom who, during the five days beforehand, have been in any cholera infected area. Those without certificates are placed under surveillance. All such travellers are given a yellow warning card which advises them what to do if they become ill within 21 days of arrival. Medical officers of health and laboratories have been advised of measures to be taken in the prevention and diagnosis of cholera.
