HC Deb 09 November 1970 vol 806 cc19-20W
74. Mr. E. L. Mallalieu

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether, in view of the need for guarantees by Great Britain, France and other European countries of Israel's security in order to persuade her to withdraw from the territory acquired in the Six Day War, he will initiate studies into the nature and feasibility of such guarantees, with a view to offering the participation in them of Her Majesty's Government at the appropriate moment.

Mr. Godber

We are examining the character of all the kinds of guarantees which might be offered to the parties, including a guarantee of the kind suggested by the hon. and learned Gentleman.
