§ Miss Holtasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will introduce legislation to regulate the conditions governing the keeping of dangerous and tropical animals with a view to the protection of the public from injury and disease and the shielding of such animals from cruelty by restraint in surroundings and climatic conditions which are totally unsuited to their natures.
