§ Mr. DeanUp to and including 4th November, 1970 our Wigan office had approved 134 applications under the Act.
§ Mr. Eadieasked the Secretary of State for Social Services (1) how many applications by men over 87 years and women over 82 years of age under the National Insurance (Old Persons) Act, 1970 have 478W been approved in the county of Midlothian;
(2) how many applications for benefit under Section 1 of the National Insurance (Old Persons) Act, 1970 have been approved in the county of Midlothian.
§ Mr. DeanUp to and including 3rd November, 1970, 1,350 claims under Section 1 of the Act had been approved by our offices in the county of Midlothian. In addition to men over 87 and women over 82, these awards include some women under 82 (the precise number is not known) who qualify either as the wives of men who are eligible or as the widows of men who would have been eligible if they had survived.
