§ Mr. Kelleyasked the Attorney-General if he will consider seeking the abolition of the requirement of leave under the Limitation Act, 1963; and if he will introduce early legislation to amend the Act.
§ 72. Mr. Willeyasked the Attorney-General if he will seek to amend the Limitation Act, 1963, so as to lift the restrictions on claims for damages in respect of pneumoconiosis; and if he will make a statement.
The Attorney-GeneralI am aware that this Act has caused difficulties about which the Law Commission's advice has been sought. That advice has been received by my noble friend within the last week, and, although my noble Friend's examination of it is not yet complete, I am confident that it will offer a solution to these difficulties more satisfactory than either the abolition of the requirement of leave or the application of any exceptional rule to a particular industrial disease.
