HC Deb 03 November 1970 vol 805 cc339-40W
Mr. Hamling

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what steps she will now take to improve facilities for students at the British Museum in view of the present shortages of staff and space.

Mr. van Straubenzee

The plans for an extension to the building which have recently been on exhibition provide for certain improvements to facilities for students, in particular restaurant facilities. Certain other improvements are under consideration which would have the effect of materially increasing the amount of space available for students in Departments.
