§ Mr. NobleI have been asked to reply. The following employment exchange areas in Scotland are at present Special Development Areas: Girvan, Lesmahagow, Leven and Methil, Sanquhar and Shotts.
The changes in investment incentives do not affect the additional measures of assistance provided under the Local Employment Acts, and applicable in Special Development Areas, apart from 301W the change in the basis of calculation of operational grants referred to in the Answer given by my hon. Friend the Minister for Industry to my hon. Friend the Member for Gravesend (Mr. Roger White) on 28th October.
