HC Deb 29 May 1970 vol 801 cc616-7W
Mr. Boyden

asked the Secretary of State for Local Government and Regional Planning how many jobs are currently in prospect in South-West Durham; and in which years he estimates that they will materialise.

Mr. Varley:

I have been asked to reply.

Jobs in prospect expected to arise during the next four years in South-West Durham in authorised new industrial buildings and in buildings taken over by manufacturing industry total 5,500, of which nearly 80 per cent. are for males. It is not possible to provide estimates for individual years.
