HC Deb 28 May 1970 vol 801 cc538-9W
Mr. Hector Hughes

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will state the latest number of holders of premium bonds; how long they have held their bonds; and how many have never received a prize.

Mr. Taverne:

The number of Premium Savings Bond holders is estimated at about £19 million. I regret that answers to the remainder of the question could not be obtained without a disproportionate expenditure of time and effort.
