HC Deb 28 May 1970 vol 801 c500W
Sir Clive Bossom

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what the aggregate United Kingdom farming net income in 1969–70, forecast at £535½ million, represents as a percentage of the net income of £477 million in 1964–65, at constant consumer retail prices.

Mr. Mackie:

Straight comparisons between single years do not adequately reflect variations in output and income that are due to factors like the weather; but taking the two years selected net farm income per full-time farm is expected to be about the same in 1969–70 in real terms as in 1964–65.
