§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Prime Minister whether he is aware of the concern felt by the members of the civil and public services concerning the keeping of personal details of civil servants by the Civil Service departments; what response he has made to the assurance sought by their association's national executive on the question of whether this type of information is made available to employers; and whether he will make a statement.
§ The Prime Minister:The Staff Side of the Civil Service National Whitley Council, representing all the Civil Service staff associations, has from the outset been kept closely in touch with the development of the new system of personal records, and its views on this as on other aspects of Civil Service management will be fully taken into account.
