Mr. Russell Johnston

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what is the current percentage of primary school pupils in classes over 40 in England and Wales.

The information in this form is not yet available. In January, 1970, about 6 per cent. of registered primary classes in England and Wales had over 40 pupils.
