Mr. William Hamilton

asked the Lord President of the Council if he will move to appoint a Select Committee to inquire into the methods of determining the sequence on the Order Paper of Oral Questions to the Prime Minister.

Mr. Peart:

The terms of reference of the Select Committee on Procedure already enable that Committee to consider my hon. Friend's suggestion. He will have noted that in its recent report on Council and Nottinghamshire County Council.

Mr. Greenwood:

The relevant grant figures and the additional rate poundages that would have been payable if these amounts had fallen to be met by rates are shown below.

Questions the Committee recommended certain changes which would affect the order of Questions to my right hon. Friend.
