Mr. Sheldon

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government if he will publish a table giving the areas of the main United Kingdom conurbations, the population densities and the proportion given over to parks and roads.

Mr. Greenwood:

The table below shows areas and densities. About 11 per cent. of the area of Greater London consists of roads and 10 per cent. of parks and open spaces administered by the local authorities and the Ministry of Public Building and Works; similar information is not available for the other conurbations.
