§ Mr. Speedasked the Minister of Public Building and Works for how long his Department has been negotiating on behalf of the Post Office for accommodation in the new shopping centre at Chelmsley Wood; and when he estimates that these negotiations will be concluded.
§ Mr. John Silkin:My Ministry has been in general contact with the agents for the Chelmsley Wood shopping centre development since 1968 and in firm negotiations regarding specific shop units for the Post Office since 23rd March, 1970. Negotiations are proceeding satisfactorily and will be concluded as soon as the legal processes are complete.
