§ Mr. Milneasked the Minister of Technology if he will introduce legislation to amend the Local Employment Act, 1960 and the Industrial Development Act, 1966 in order to remove the anomalies arising from the eligibility of site development costs for payment of grant to firms in development districts.
§ Mr. Carmichael:We are aware of certain difficulties in the administration of the Local Employment Acts in their present form, but we cannot undertake to introduce amending legislation in the lifetime of this Parliament.
