asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government what action he is taking to encourage better play provision for children in housing schemes.

Mr. Greenwood:

The cost of such provision up to standards based on the Parker Morris report is accepted for subsidy in higher density schemes; further research is continuing and the results will be published as soon as possible.
