HC Deb 25 March 1970 vol 798 c407W
Mr. Grimond

asked the President of the Board of Trade if he will hold a full inquiry into sea rescue, covering both the design of lifeboats and the use of aircraft.

Mr. Goronwy Roberts

I would refer the right hon. Gentleman to the replies I have given today to the hon. Member for Aberdeenshire, East (Mr. Wolrige-Gordon). The report of the Committee on the Marine Search and Rescue Organisation does not deal with the design of lifeboats, but no doubt the formal investigation into the loss of the Fraserburgh lifeboat will take its design into account.
