§ Mr. FreesonThe allocations figures for lending for house purchase by local authorities in England and Wales in the years 1965–66, 1966–67, 1967–68, 1968–69 and 1969–70 were, respectively, £130 million £130 million, £130 million, £95 million, and £55 million. As the hon. Gentleman will know the figure for Great Britain for the financial year 1970–71 will be about £155 million.
§ 92. Mr. Peytonasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government if he will estimate for how many more years and/ or months a mortgage holder will have to pay on the basis of an 80 per cent. mortgage taken out amounting to £6,000 at 6 per cent. interest and options to 340W lengthen repayment instead of paying the increased interest rates to date.
