HC Deb 20 March 1970 vol 798 c225W
Mr. Marten

asked Mr. Attorney General why the percentage of disabled staff in the county courts, Supreme Courts of Judicature and the Land Registry is below 3 per cent.

The Attorney-General

Fewer disabled persons now offer themselves for employment in these departments, but there is no less readiness to engage them and it is rare for one who applies to be rejected solely because of his disability. The percentage is also less than 3 per cent. because many county courts are housed in buildings where duties most suitable for disabled persons are performed by staff supplied by other departments.
