Mr. Ashton

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science (1) what are the latest relative comparative figures for Derbyshire County Council, Staffordshire County Council, Durham County Council and Nottinghamshire County Council, and also the national average figures for all county councils, with regard to the cost of teachers' salaries per pupil in primary schools and secondary schools, respectively;

(2) what are the latest relative comparative figures for Derbyshire County Council, Staffordshire County Council, Durham County Council and Nottinghamshire County Council, and also the national average figures for all county councils, with regard to the cost per pupil of repairs and maintenance expenditure on primary schools and secondary schools, respectively;

(3) what are the latest relative comparative figures for Derbyshire County Council, Staffordshire County Council, Durham County Council and Nottinghamshire County Council, and also the national average figures for all county councils, with regard to the total expenditure on a cost per pupil basis of repairs, books, furniture and fittings, educational equipment and school stationery for primary schools and for secondary schools, respectively.

(4) what are the latest relative comparative figures for Derbyshire County Council, Staffordshire County Council, Durham County Council and Nottinghamshire County Council, and also the national average figures for all county councils, with regard to the costs per pupil of transport for primary schools and for secondary schools, respectively.

(5) what are the latest relative comparative figures for Derbyshire County Council, Staffordshire County Council, Durham County Council and Nottinghamshire County Council, and also the national average figures for all county
