HC Deb 13 March 1970 vol 797 c396W
Mrs. Ewing

asked the Minister of Public Building and Works what was the cost to public funds of cleaning monuments and public buildings in the last financial year broken down into statistics for London, the rest of England, Scotland and Wales, respectively.

Mr. John Silkin

My main programme for cleaning public buildings is at present restricted to London and Edinburgh. We spent £28,000 in London and nothing in Edinburgh in 1968–69 and will be spending about £25,000 in London and £18,000 in Edinburgh in 1969–70.
