Mrs. Lena Jeger

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government for how many square feet of new office accommodation in Central London has planning permission been granted for each of the last three years; and how much new office building is being currently allowed.

The figures for 1969 are not yet available. The latest annual returns for new office building in the Central Area at 31st March, 1969 show that 1,994,922 sq. ft. was under construction and 1,352,975 sq. ft. was completed and vacant.
