§ 73. Sir C. Taylorasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he is aware that a book was confiscated by Her Majesty's Customs from the hon. Member for Eastbourne on arrival at London Airport, in spite of the fact that this book was both printed and published in England and is now generally on sale; and whether any recent amendments have been made in the regulations governing the importation of books and other literature.
§ Mr. TaverneI understand that at the time the book was confiscated—in 1966—it was not generally on sale in this country. There have been no recent changes in the law prohibiting the importation of indecent or obscene articles.
