§ 51. Mr. Templeasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food whether in the last two years representatives from his Department have visited Denmark in order to have consultations in that country concerning methods of controlling the spread of foot-and-mouth disease with special reference to ring vaccination policies.
§ Mr. Templeasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what countries have been visited in the last two years by representatives of his Department in order to study their vaccination methods in respect of the control of foot-and-mouth disease; and what was the result of those studies.
§ Mr. MackieNo countries have been visited in the past two years by representatives of my Department specifically 307W to study ring vaccination, but on two occasions the subject was discussed when senior veterinary officers were in Denmark for other purposes.
§ 52. Mr. Templeasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what was the total of compensation paid to owners of livestock in each of the last 20 years in respect of animals slaughtered in England and Wales during the outbreaks of foot-and-mouth disease.
