HC Deb 09 March 1970 vol 797 cc232-3W
Mr. Hugh Jenkins

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether, as the value of British arms imports into Nigeria increased from £80,000 in 1966 to £2,800,000 in 1968, he will revise his estimate of the proportion this represents of the total arms supplies to Nigeria.

Mr. Foley

No. The figures given in the Question are not from British sources and I do not know on what basis they were calculated. I am satisfied that the information which has been given to the House about our supply of arms to Nigeria was substantially correct.
