asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what was the total consumption of beef in the United Kingdom in the year 1969; and what proportion of this consumption was home produced.

Total usage of beef and veal in the United Kingdom in 1969 was some 1,190,000 tons, of which approximately 72 per cent. was home produced.
