HC Deb 05 March 1970 vol 797 cc154-5W
Mr. Hooley

asked the Secretary of State for Employment and Productivity how many individual applications for industrial retraining were submitted in Sheffield during 1969; and how many applicants secured places in suitable courses.

Mr. Dell

610 applications were received during 1969, but 332 were later withdrawn. 89 of the applicants entered training, and 43 more have been accepted as suitable and are awaiting allocation. 80 applications are still under consideration.
