§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether, as a means of 42W saving in administrative costs, increasing revenue, reducing road traffic and thereby speeding the flow, he will in his forthcoming Budget consider ending the present system of road fund licence and increase petrol tax to ensure the same revenue return as that now received with the petrol tax and road excise licence.
