Mr. Michael McNair-Wilson

asked the Minister of Technology if he will obtain a report from the chief constable as to the action being taken to protect Nimrod aircraft at the Hawker Siddeley factory, Woodford, Cheshire, from further acts of sabotage, and as to whether the damage so far will delay the coming into service of this type of aircraft.

Several cases of very minor damage have been reported by the Company who were advised some weeks ago to call in the police force. The Chief Constable's inquiries are proceeding and the Department is being kept
