HC Deb 24 July 1970 vol 804 c279W
Mr. Ian Campbell

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what is his estimate of the increase from 1970 to 1973 in the provision of beds for geriatric patients in West Dunbartonshire and the numbers on the present waiting lists for such beds.

Mr. Gordon Campbell

I understand that the conversion of the 39 bedded Braeholm Maternity Hospital to geriatric use is being considered by the Western Regional Hospital Board but the precise number of additional beds which would become available is not yet known. At 30th September, 1969, there were 54 patients on the waiting list for admission to geriatric beds in the area.
