HC Deb 24 July 1970 vol 804 c289W
Dr. Gilbert

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what discussions he is holding with the Canadian authorities to ensure that United Kingdom residents who have made social welfare payments under the Canadian scheme during periods of residence in that country will become, on their return to the United Kingdom, eligible for United Kingdom pensions at the age of 65 years consequent on reductions in the pensionable age embodied in the Canadia Old Age Security Act; and if he will make a statement.

Sir K. Joseph

I will try to arrange for discussions to begin as soon as possible.
