HC Deb 23 July 1970 vol 804 c231W
Mr. Stratton Mills

asked the Minister of Overseas Development what is the amount of capital aid being made available to Tunisia.

Mr. Wood

Her Majesty's Government have offered the Government of Tunisia an interest-free loan of £246,000, linked to British goods and services, to assist in the establishment of a radio-telephone link in Central and Southern Tunisia. The loan is being made available as second-stage disaster aid after the 1969 floods, and will be drawn in the financial years 1971–72 and 1972–73.
