§ Mr. van StraubenzeeSpecial schools for physically handicapped children, including those suffering from spina bifida, are planned for building in 1970–71 and 1971–72 at an estimated cost of £1.5 million in each financial year. One of these schools, to start in 1970–71 at an estimated cost of £365,000, is designed solely for children suffering from spina bifida: the proportion of such children will depend on local circumstances at any180W given time.
