HC Deb 23 July 1970 vol 804 cc211-2W
Mr. Chichester-Clark

asked the Minister of Technology whether he will bring forward proposals to help the development of service industries in Northern Ireland and development areas where this is needed.

Mr. Ridley

As my right hon. and learned Friend explained in the debate on the Queen's Speech on 9th July, we are currently reviewing the whole range of regional incentives to industry, and will certainly keep the position of the service industries in mind. Assistance to industry in Northern Ireland is a matter for the Government of Northern Ireland, but we shall be in touch with them in due course about our own proposals.
