§ Mr. Dalyellasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science (1) what action she is taking in the light of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation resolution to plan a conference in the rôle of the fundamental sciences in the evolution of societies and living conditions of mankind;
(2) what action she is taking in the light of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation resolution calling for an overall study of the institutional organisation and financing of fundamental research at the national level, in which Government officers, scientists and students will participate.
