HC Deb 23 July 1970 vol 804 c233W
Mr. Michael McNair-Wilson

asked the President of the Board of Trade what action he proposes to take about the representations made to him by the British Airline Pilots Association about the poor equpiment for navigational aids, and the danger to aircraft, at a number of European airports, including Edinburgh Turnhouse.

Mr. Corfield

I am always willing to consider specific suggestions from B.A.L.P.A. concerning airports though it has not made any representations to the Board of Trade in regard to navigational aids at Edinburgh, Turnhouse. Responsibility for airports outside the United Kingdom rests solely with the Government of the countries concerned.
