§ Mr. Gordon CampbellThe responsibility for operating these services lies with the Caledonian Steam Packet Company, which is a subsidiary of the Scottish Transport Group. My consent to improvements is required only in so far as these affect the group's investment programmes, and in that context I am always ready to consider proposals by the group.
