HC Deb 22 July 1970 vol 804 cc168-9W
Sir J. Rodgers

asked the Minister of Posts and Telecommunications if he will introduce legislation to ensure that aircraft, like other vehicles, should be fitted with suppressors in order to prevent interference with television viewing.

Mr. Chataway

No. Aircraft are already fitted with suppressors to protect their own communication systems. This interference to television is usually caused by reflection of the television signal from the body of the aircraft. Improvement of the TV aerial might help.
