asked the Minister of State for Defence if it is his intention to proceed with the amalgamation of the Gloucestershire and Royal Hampshire Regiments.

62. Mrs. Sally Oppenheim

asked the Minister of State for Defence if he will give an assurance that consideration will be given to abrogating the proposed amalgamation of the Gloucestershire Regiment and the Royal Hampshire Regiment, and to preserving the Gloucestershire Regiment as a regular regiment of the British infantry.
