asked the President of the Board of Trade what progress he is making in drafting rules and regulations under the Fishing Vessels (Safety) Act, 1970.

Priority continues to be given to the necessary preparatory work within the Board for the drafting of rules. This will form the basis of detailed discussion with the industry which will take place at the earliest opportunity.
