§ Mr. Anthony StodartThe annual reports we receive from local authorities do not show that infestation by rats is increasing either in domestic or business 63W premises although there is some preliminary evidence to suggest that infestation by mice may be increasing. I am satisfied that local authorities have all the powers they need to deal with infestation. In a circular letter of 9th June from my Department they were advised how to tackle the specific problems resulting from the demolition of old buildings.
