Mr. Meacher

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services how many persons each year, between 1960 and 1969 inclusive, have been disqualified for periods of up to six weeks from receipt of sickness benefit and from receipt of unemployment benefit.

Central records are not kept of disqualifications for sickness benefit, which are quite exceptional. Following is the information about disqualifications for unemploymen benefit:
