asked the Minister of State for Defence whether Royal Air Force search and rescue services will now be maintained at Bahrein, Singapore and Gan after the end of 1971.

Mr. Lambton

It is too early to be specific about the kinds and numbers of Royal Air Force aircraft which we shall be deploying east of Suez after 1971. I would refer my hon. Friend to the answer which my hon. Friend the Minister of State for Defence gave to the hon. Member for Salford, East (Mr. Frank Allaun) on 13th July.—[Vol. 803, c.141.]
