§ Mr. Armstrong
asked the Minister of Posts and Telecommunications if he will now give a firm date for the beginning of the transmission of B.B.C.2 programmes from the Weardale transmitter.

§ Mr. Chataway
It is for the B.B.C. which is primarily responsible for the extension of its services to announce firm opening dates. The Corporation tells me that it hopes to start transmitting B.B.C.2 from the Weardale Station in the autumn of this year.
